I bought sonic 1,2, and cd but the dpad is hyper sensitive no matter how I customize it I get so aggravated by doing a spin dash while just trying to jump in a direction Or just being slow because some zone ask for more care in my footing that I just cant play its crippling how sensitive the are controls are and its sad because it looked like you did a really good emulation

Great game, brings me back to the Sega days.

Sonic 1 is my least favorite game is the Classic Series, but I still love it, I would give the original four stars. This version however fixed all of my problems with the original, has widescreen support, smooth gameplay, and they even added the spin dash which is extremely useful. The controls took a bit of getting used to, but I learned to get the hang of it pretty quickly. I really wish they would put this game on PSN, Xbox Live, and PC like they did with the remake of Sonic CD, but Im perfectly fine with this. Definitely worth a purchase!

Its a good game but the controls is the one thats making the game so difficult and if I only knew I would not buy this game

I love this franchise its my 2nd all time video game series (right behind PaRappa the Rapper), not only does it have improvements, Im really glad to play as tails, knuckles, and have tails along with me when Im sonic, but I have to beat the game once to do all of that. I still hate labyrinth zone though, but the everything in the main game is still the same. Great job SEGA. Hopefully youll remake Sonic Jam from the SEGA Saturn but just remake the overworld setting, Ive been dying to play that game for 3 years!

After getting the Level Select cheat, Ive noticed that the play button on the Sound Test changes the first digit instead of playing the song. I couldnt find any other way to play the song. Other than that, the game is excellent!

I really like both sonic 1 and 2 games but I really hope to get sonic 3 and sonic and knuckles

I love this game. Please bring it to the AppleTV. Or at lease make it so we can use a controller like the nimbus with it.

Fantastic port. However like others have stated, the sound test is glitching up and will not play any songs. Besides this, it is an awesome game and if the sound test is fixed, it will be 5 stars

Great game, but I did level select cheat and cant play the sound test songs. Please take the debug cheat back into the game.

This game is nostalgic, but the control to jump up while spinning also brings up the game menu without the ability to change that mechanic. After a few hours it gets old and frustrating.

the sound select doesnt work

This is a good game.You can play this on the go almost anywhere. Sega please release sonic 3 & knuckles for iOS devices. It would be an amazing game on the App Store.

This is a great game but I really think u should make Sonic 3 or Sonic and Knuckles because the other 2 were really great

I was finally able to buy Sonic 1, 2, CD, and 4 Ep.2, already having Ep.1 (man the rush of nostalgia of playing when I was younger) I was wondering when Sonic 3 and/or Sonic & Knuckles was coming to iOS???

Would love to play the game but cant really do anything the D-pad is just to unresponsive. Here is no setting to turn up the sensitivity this makes unplayable to any useful extent
